Addurna'm henaid â dy ddelw

(Peraroglau Crist)
Addurna'm henaid â dy ddelw,
Gwna fi'n ddychryn yn dy law,
I bob llygredd a chnawdolrwydd,
A phob gelyn yma a thraw:
O am gymdeithasu â'th enw -
  Enaint tywalltedig yw -
Leinw'r byd o beraroglau
  Hawddgar ddoniau Crist fy Nuw.

Rhwyga'r tew gymylau duon
  Sydd yn cuddio'th wenau gwiw,
Nid oes dim all fy nyddanu
Ond yn unig ti fy Nuw:
Môr didrai o bob trugaredd,
  Iachydwriaeth fawr ei dawn,
Lifodd allan o dy fynwes
  Ar Galfaria un prydnawn.

gwelir:
Er mai cwbwl groes i natur
Llwyb(y)r cwb(w)l groes i natur
Mae'r dydd yn dod i'r had brenhinol
O rhwyga'r tew gymylau duon
Pan fo'm henaid fwyaf gwresog
Rhwyga'r tew gymylau duon

(Sweet smells of Christ)
Addorn my soul with thy image,
Make me a terror in thy hand,
To every corruption and fleshliness,
And every enemy here and yonder:
Oh to fellowship with thy name!
  Ointment poured forth it is,
Salting the world with the sweet smells
Of the lovable gifts of Christ my God.

Rend the thick black clouds,
  Which are hiding thy worthy smiles;
There is nothing which delights me,
  But only thee my God;
A sea unebbing of every mercy,
  A salvation of great might,
Which flowed out of thy breast,
  On Calvary one afternoon.
tr. 2009,11 Richard B Gillion
